Cloud migration

Structured migration of on-premises workloads to AWS, Azure, or GCP — assessed, planned, and executed with production-safe cut-overs.

Most migration projects fail in the assessment phase — or, more accurately, they proceed without a serious assessment phase and discover the complexity later, at cost. We run a six-to-eight-week discovery engagement before any migration begins, producing a workload inventory, a dependency map, a prioritised migration wave plan, and a risk register with explicit go/no-go criteria for production cut-over.

Execution follows a phased model: non-critical workloads first, then dependent systems, then production databases and state-bearing services last. Production cut-overs are always scheduled, always reversible within the agreed RTO window, and always staffed by the engineers who built the target environment.

We hold AWS Partner Advanced accreditation, Microsoft Azure Expert MSP designation, and Google Cloud Partner status across our core competencies. We are not platform-agnostic for its own sake — we have a house view on which workloads belong on which platform and share that view before any project is scoped.

Post-migration, we provide a structured hypercare period — typically 30 to 90 days — during which we monitor for latent issues, support the client team in operating the new environment, and conduct a FinOps review to identify immediate cost-optimisation opportunities.

Typical deliverables

  • Cloud readiness assessment with workload inventory and dependency map
  • Migration wave plan with explicit sequencing and risk register
  • Infrastructure-as-code for the target environment (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Tested rollback plan for each production cut-over
  • Post-migration hypercare (30–90 days) with FinOps review

Engagement model

Migration engagements run from eight weeks for small environments to twelve months for complex multi-cloud estates. We co-staff with client engineers throughout; knowledge transfer is built into the engagement model, not bolted on at the end.
